Katherine Watters, Associate

Katherine has over 10 years experience in the property and country house industry and her proactive client management skills provide an invaluable level of service. Surrey born and bred, she is a fountain of local information and can offer insight into all areas of life in the region. With a great eye for detail and a subtle tenacity which means that her clients tend to get what they want, she is no stranger to hard work and her ability to find common ground with everyone she meets has resulted in an enviable black book of industry contacts.

Also a specialist in equestrian property, Katherine understands the nuances that are involved in the search and acquisition of both equestrian homes and commercial equestrian enterprises, having previously set up and run a successful equestrian department of a country estate agency. A keen equestrian herself and regular competitor, she truly understands the needs of equestrian buyers and the varying facets of all the equestrian disciplines. She has worked with both international Olympic riders sourcing a training base, to families wanting a few stables at home. She is regularly featured in the equestrian press and highly regarded in her field of expertise.

Her ability to find a unique solution to an unusual problem is rivalled only by her genuine love of property and her success in addressing the challenges it can present for her clients.

Andrea Hewitt, Associate

Andrea HewittAndrea has a comprehensive understanding of the property market which started whilst living and working in London. She moved from Cornwall to North London in her early twenties. Shortly after moving to London Andrea began working for one of London’s top estate agents in St John’s Wood. Seven years later she had successfully climbed the internal career ladder and was effectively gaining instructions for the company across a broad area in North West London.

Life then took Andrea on a very unique path travelling the world on tour for two years, with her now husband, a former member of a well-known rock band.

Upon returning to the UK she joined another high end London estate agent, wanting to utilise her expansive knowledge of the property market. Upon starting her family Andrea moved to Surrey, a county she now possesses extreme local knowledge of and has an excellent professional network.

Andrea conducts searches for clients seeking their new home in the county she enjoys living in herself. It is her time living in Surrey, her wealth of contacts and her plentiful knowledge of the property industry that enables her to do this and obtain first class results.

Claire Perry, Associate

Claire started her career in property 29 years ago, studying for a degree in Estate Management and going on to qualify as a Chartered Surveyor, working for firms in the City, East Berkshire and South Buckinghamshire.

She took a career break to raise her family, while simultaneously undertaking several property renovation projects, including a 17th century listed farmhouse on the Berkshire, Oxfordshire borders.

More recently, over the past 6 years, Claire has been sourcing residential properties for clients looking to relocate within the Thames Valley region.

Having lived and worked within the property industry in Bucks, Berks and Oxon, Claire is very knowledgeable about the region, particularly Berkshire. She has a keen eye for detail and good perceptive skills, both important aspects in tailoring the search to meet the client’s requirements. She recently acquired her own home off market after a calculated search. Using her extensive property and local knowledge, Claire now serves clients looking to acquire their ideal property in Berkshire.

In her spare time, Claire enjoys gardening, cycling and countryside walks, learning Italian and spending time with her family and friends.

Leonia Newman, Director & Co-Founder

Leonia offers a wealth of experience spanning many years in the national and international relocation sectors. She is respected as a relocation professional for providing a first class service to clients.

In her early career Leonia set up her own relocation company helping London families to move to the Home Counties. She began to appreciate the needs of busy clients; not only finding the right property, but also the accompanying lifestyle, formed by schooling, the commute, and local amenities.

Through her extensive network of business contacts Leonia next headed up a niche relocation consultants for film actors. Out of this intriguing challenge she became an industry expert discussing property matters for Real Estate TV.

Building on this success, Leonia founded a relocation company serving high profile corporate clients buying and renting in prime central London. She helped over 500 executives, working for the world’s most prominent and successful corporations, to find homes in the capital.

After many years of relocating families from all corners of the globe, Leonia was ideally placed to join forces with Garrington Relocation to develop our industry-leading brand.

Jennifer Mullucks, Account Manager

Jennifer Mullucks

With firsthand experience of relocating from abroad and her wealth of lettings knowledge, Jennifer has a full understanding of our clients and assignees needs. As an account manager, Jennifer deals with the day to day running of the office and supporting the assignees with their relocation from start to finish. Her main goal is to ensure long term success of the assignees relocation by guiding and supporting them throughout their journey.

Born and raised in The Netherlands, Jennifer started work as an event organiser after completing a degree in Tourism. She became the PA to the Global Advertising Director of Adidas based in Amsterdam. She grew rapidly competent in administrative, operational and organizational skills.

In 1999 Jennifer was ready for a new challenge. Her first job in London was in property. Realising her passion for it, Jennifer worked for several prime estate agencies and after some time managing the lettings department of a large estate agency, she relocated to Cambridge with her family, continuing her property career by joining Garrington in 2008.

Fluent in Dutch, Jennifer also speaks French and German. In her spare time she enjoys travelling and spending time with her young family.

Laura West, Account Executive 

Laura West

Laura provides essential support to the relocation team, having joined Garrington after graduating from Loughborough University with a 2:1 in International Relations.

In between her studies, Laura has successfully completed internships with high profile law firms which provided a valuable insight into the world of professional advisory services for corporate and private clients. Building on this valuable experience and academic knowledge, Laura decided that Garrington would be the perfect company to progress her career.

During her studies whilst at University, Laura held the position of Social Secretary, organising events and charity fundraising throughout her time at Loughborough. Following a successful period as Social Secretary, Laura was then elected as Social Chair which involved event management, student body coordination, and the ability to negotiate contracts.

Laura is able to apply this knowledge into her role as Account Executive at Garrington, by assisting with day to day support and administration of the firm and utilising her multiple skills.

With a keen interest for sports, Laura has represented the county at netball and athletics. She also enjoys running, shopping and eating out.

Support Team

Lynne West, Operations Manager

Lynne WestThroughout her career Lynne has worked mainly in the areas of Office Management, Event Management and Customer Service. In this time she gained experience being a PA at board level, organising trade shows and heading up a customer service team.

After nearly 20 years working mainly in the Telecommunications industry, Lynne decided that it was time for a new challenge. In 2009 the opportunity arose to join the Garrington team in a key role as an Operations Manager. With a wealth of administrative experience coupled with extensive customer service skills, Lynne ensures that the operational side of Garrington runs smoothly and efficiently. As an important linchpin of the organisation, Lynne’s support to the management team and network of associates is invaluable.

When not at work, Lynne enjoys spending time with her family and is an active committee member of her son’s football and cricket clubs.

Alexandra Nicol, Client Service Executive 

Alexandra Nicol

Alexandra is a key member of the head office team, supporting both clients’ searches and assisting Garrington’s regional search consultants with operational matters. Her career began after successfully graduating with a triple Distinction in Hospitality, and went on to work at a privately owned country house as an events coordinator, gaining a wealth of experience for the planning and organising of important corporate and private events.

She then took the decision to further her career and joined Garrington in 2012 in a newly created position which draws on her comprehensive understanding of customer service, excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail. This enables her to carry out a pivotal role, to ensure that client searches are supported to the highest possible standard.

As part of her on-going commitment to continued professional development and providing first class service, Alexandra is currently studying for a professional qualification awarded by the Institute of Leadership and Management.

Away from work Alexandra’s hobbies include baking, walking her dogs, fly fishing in Scotland, reading and eating out.

Cheryl Elliott-Edwards, Executive Assistant  

Cheryl Elliott-EdwardsCheryl has an impressive track record and wealth of experience of serving discerning clients across luxury sectors including Residential Sales, Lettings and Management, the Hospitality Industry and Business Aviation for over 10 years. She joins Garrington in a key role, as an Executive Assistant and co-ordinates client and operational matters in Garrington’s Asset Management division.

Having previously worked on behalf of VIP’s, sporting personalities, celebrities and dignitaries in Private Aviation and working closely with film crews, airlines and airport authorities to accommodate services to the film industry, Cheryl’s negotiating, and organisational skills are exemplary.

At home, Cheryl enjoys her time with family and particularly enjoys baking with her daughter at weekends. Tennis and other outdoor activities are high on the agenda together with a passion for dance, music and travel.
