Andrea has a comprehensive understanding of the property market which started whilst living and working in London. She moved from Cornwall to North London in her early twenties. Shortly after moving to London Andrea began working for one of London’s top estate agents in St John’s Wood. Seven years later she had successfully climbed the internal career ladder and was effectively gaining instructions for the company across a broad area in North West London.
Life then took Andrea on a very unique path travelling the world on tour for two years, with her now husband, a former member of a well-known rock band.
Upon returning to the UK she joined another high end London estate agent, wanting to utilise her expansive knowledge of the property market. Upon starting her family Andrea moved to Surrey, a county she now possesses extreme local knowledge of and has an excellent professional network.
Andrea conducts searches for clients seeking their new home in the county she enjoys living in herself. It is her time living in Surrey, her wealth of contacts and her plentiful knowledge of the property industry that enables her to do this and obtain first class results.
Daniel Rowland ASSOCIATE SOUTH (Hants, Wilts, Dorset)
Educated at Felsted School, Essex, and graduating from the University of Nottingham, Daniel’s career began in the City. Daniel spent 12 years working in the stock market, as a fund manager, qualifying as a Chartered Financial Analyst; managing funds worth in excess of £400m. During this time Daniel was personally investing in a property portfolio, and after numerous approaches from friends and family seeking advice, Daniel took the decision in 2010 to set up his own property search and development business. As a result Daniel has been involved in numerous negotiations, transactions and developments, ranging from small renovations to building multi-million pound homes; all whilst establishing a very extensive network of contacts.
Daniel tackles each search in the same way, with a friendly manner and a thorough and determined approach. His knowledge of the local market and transactional experience means that he is able to source properties at the best prices for his clients. His expertise and contacts in building and development are an added bonus for those who wish to improve or extend their properties.
Daniel lives in Hampshire with his wife and family. In his spare time, when not renovating his own Georgian house, Daniel likes to play hockey and is a passionate skier.
Jonathan Hopper Managing Director
Jonathan has an enviable track record of success spanning 20 years in the property and relocation industry. As Managing Director of Garrington, he leads a company that has represented numerous clients in multi-million pound transactions and in turn developed a respected industry profile, through the strategic growth of a market leading brand.
Jonathan is a Director on the Board of The Property Ombudsman, a Council Member of the UK’s Association of Relocation Professionals and is a former National Council Member of the NAEA.
He is frequently called upon as an authoritative voice for market insights with articles published in The Financial Times, Canary Wharf and City magazines, The Sunday Time and Bloomberg.
A past recipient of the ‘Best UK Property Finder’ award, he is continuously striving to hone his skills having completed leadership programmes at Cranfield Management School and an MBA at Ashcroft International Business School in Cambridge.
As a prominent creative thinker and entrepreneurial problem solver, Jonathan is passionate about working with clients, and enjoys exploring the driving forces that push successful businesses to their highest potential.
John Adamson Executive Chairman
John has worked in the property sector for the last 25 years and has director level experience in residential sales, letting and management, estate management and development. Most recently he was Managing Director and majority shareholder of one of largest estate and letting agents in the Eastern region which he successfully sold to a FTSE 250 organisation.
He holds an MBA from The Open University and is a well-respected entrepreneurial leader with an eye for detail, who thrives on the creation of customer-focused companies, where success becomes a by-product of excellence.
Nicholas Finn Executive Director
Nicholas Finn is London born and bred. With a property career spanning over a decade, he worked in prime London locations from St Johns Wood to Chiswick with one of the capital’s largest sales agents, before channelling his entrepreneurial flair into establishing his own estate agency in a sought-after part of London.
Prior to joining Garrington, Nicholas founded and ran an asset management company. It served corporate institutions and their private clients looking to sell, relocate or add to their portfolios. Nicholas leads and supports a growing team whilst using his experience and extensive contacts to generate exclusive opportunities for clients. He lives in London with his wife and young family.
Lynne West Operations Manager
Throughout her career Lynne has worked mainly in the areas of Office Management, Event Management and Customer Service. In this time she gained experience being a PA at board level, organising trade shows and heading up a customer service team.
After nearly 20 years working mainly in the Telecommunications industry, Lynne decided that it was time for a new challenge. In 2009 the opportunity arose to join the Garrington team in a key role as an Operations Manager. With a wealth of administrative experience coupled with extensive customer service skills, Lynne ensures that the operational side of Garrington runs smoothly and efficiently. As an important linchpin of the organisation, Lynne’s support to the management team and network of associates is invaluable.
When not at work, Lynne enjoys spending time with her family and is an active committee member of her son’s football and cricket clubs.
Amy Marshall Client Search Manager
Growing up in Somerset, Amy has always shown a keen interest in all things bricks and mortar. Curiosity resulted in a very hands-on approach to her parents’ property investment and development business throughout her school years. A career in property was a sure-fire for Amy: Starting with working for a commercial construction company in Bristol before taking some time outside of the UK to live and work in Spain. On returning to England, Amy moved to London to begin a career in the residential property market. Her initial role was as a lettings negotiator for a successful South West London estate agent. In time she migrated into residential sales, further broadening her knowledge of the property industry and London.
Amy now supports Nicholas with the day to day operations of the London business. It is her broad understanding of the industry and ability to recognise an individual’s requirements that ensures the right consultant is appointed to a clients’ search and that support is provided throughout the service.
Yanina Jeffrey Client & Marketing Administrator
Growing up in Hertfordshire, Yanina has gained a broad range of Administration experiences from industry sectors such as software, life sciences and medical and publishing. This was all whilst seeking her ideal role within property.
Yanina now provides an essential role in coordinating Garrington’s client and marketing activities.
When not at work, Yanina enjoys spending time with her husband and family – Standing on the side lines on freezing Sunday afternoon’s supporting her daughter playing netball.
