Surrey’s most exclusive addresses

For some time, due to a number of factors Surrey and ‘exclusive’ have been largely synonymous. Outside of London Surrey is likely the location where you will find the highest number of exclusive addresses; the county is well known to be the location of luxury homes.

It’s of little wonder why Surrey is so incredibly popular. Surrey is ideally placed for access into London, especially access to the prime central London areas which are located to the west of London, several international airports can be reached with ease, train and road connections mean travelling to most destinations across the UK is straightforward and residents can happily visit several natural beauty spots in the county or in those neighbouring and even the seaside in a short space of time.

Add to this list the exemplary schooling options, the pretty town and village locations filled with amenities and the beautiful homes available to buy in Surrey and you can quickly understand why so many of the UK’s most desirable properties are located here. So where are Surrey’s most exclusive addresses and why are they such popular places to live?

Property in Oxshott

The village of Oxshott offers residents a good range of village amenities, there is a mainline train station that runs regular direct services to London Waterloo in just 35 minutes and is only a short drive from the A3 and onto the M25 motorway for car travel. The area is popular with families due to the selection of highly regarded private schools including Danes Hill School.

Properties within the postcode KT22 such as Montrose Gardens, Leys Road and Birds Hill Road, which are all located within the prestigious Crown Estate, are amongst some of the most exclusive addresses in Oxshott. Properties in the Danes Court Estate are also extremely sought after. 

Luxury homes Cobham

Just 17 miles from London, the Surrey village of Cobham is known for its luxury homes and has long been a desirable place to live. Pretty Cobham high street is filled with a range of shops, restaurants and cafes and there are excellent schools in the area including The ACS Cobham International School and Reed’s. Stoke d’Arbernon train station is just over a mile away and offers a fast service into London Waterloo.

Amongst the most exclusive addresses in Cobham are Mizen Way, Fairmile Avenue, Icklingham Road and Eaton Park Road. There are several private, gated estates in Cobham such as Fairmile Estate, Eaton Park Estate, Oxshott Way Estate.

Virginia Water property

There are many exclusive places to live in Surrey, Virginia Water might be one of the most sought after exclusive locations in the county – in particular homes found on the Wentworth Estate. The most exclusive addresses in Virginia Water include Abbots Drive, Virginia Avenue and Wellington Avenue.

The area has a lot to offer in terms of local amenities with Virginia Water itself having a good selection of shops, Ascot and Sunningdale are nearby for day to day shopping and the bigger centres such as Windsor are only a short distance away.

Virginia Water is ideally placed for travel with the M3, M4 and M25 motorways all close allowing for easy access to London and the rest of the country via the wider motorway network. Heathrow and Gatwick airports are also within a short drive.

Houses in Esher

Esher is incredibly popular with commuters, the mainline station offers fast and regular service into London Waterloo, the journey takes around half an hour. The A3 is also nearby for access to central London, the M25 motorway and Gatwick and Heathrow airports.

Esher is also particularly well known for its schooling options and is a desirable place for families to live near to London. Schools in the area include Claremont Fan Court School, Shrewsbury House Pre-Preparatory, Rowan Preparatory School and Milbourne Lodge.

Property in Esher is highly desirable, the most exclusive addresses include Pelhams Walk and Claremont Drive.

Guildford property

The town of Guildford is known for its pretty cobbled high street, the Guildhall gold clock, excellent transport connections, impressive schools and sought after properties. Guildford offers residents the best of both worlds being able to enjoy the town and its amenities whilst surrounded by Surrey countryside and all within a short distance of London.

Schools in the area include The Royal Grammar School, Lanesborough, Tormead and Guildford High School – all exceptionally popular options. Guildford also has lots of green spaces including Stoke Park which has a childrens playground, skate park, paddling pool, boating pond and mini golf course.

Guildford is recorded to have over 200 streets where property values are over £1million. Some of the most exclusive addresses in Guildford include Warren Road, Fairway and Abbotswood.

Houses in Kingswood

The village of Kingswood is the location of many sought after homes, exclusive addresses include Warren Drive, Sandy Lane and Beech Drive.

Kingswood is a large village located on the North Downs part of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village has good amenities, families are attracted to the area for the excellent schools both state and independent and easy transport connections; the train to London takes just 45 minutes.


A short distance from Weybridge, Walton-on-Thames is a highly desirable place to live within prime Surrey commuter belt. The town has a good range of day-to-day amenities, and the larger centres of Kingston Upon Thames and Guildford are nearby. Walton’s train station offers a fast service into London Waterloo.

There are several highly regarded schools in the area including St. George’s School and Notre Dame Preparatory School. Leisure facilities in the area are second to none; nearby golf courses include Burhill, Wisley and Wentworth, horse racing at Sandown Park, Ascot and Epsom. St. George’s Hill Tennis Club, Penny Hill Park and the Weybridge Health Centre are within easy reach. 

There are many desirable properties in Walton-on-Thames, around 400 homes are within the private Burwood Park estate on the edge of the town, spanning over 360 acres of natural woodland and two natural lakes. Exclusive addresses in Walton include Broadwater Road within Burwood Park and Ashley Park Road within the Ashley Park estate.
